The day I stopped waiting

I watched the silence stretch and grow,
A promise made, but no hello.
No message came, no voice, no call
Just quiet blooming over all.

I didn’t beg, I didn’t bend,
Just marked the silence as the end.
He didn’t come, but I was true
And that’s enough to walk me through.

No storm, no blame, no final plea
Just space for someone who chooses me.
