     - Poem for the boy who stayed quiet, and the girl who felt too much in silence I saw a garden in your words, A warmth in the way you spoke of leaves, So, I reached out, not with noise But with a softness that believes. I asked not for your days or time, Just a little space beside your calm, A cutting, a conversation, Maybe a smile wrapped in balm. You answered gently, like a breeze, But never lingered long or deep, And I stayed hoping you’d return, To water what I dared to keep. I sent you reels, with blooming blue, Hid my care behind green stems, But your replies came like the dusk Brief, quiet, without amends. You told me, “Tomorrow we’ll talk.” And I said “Sure,” with quiet grace. You read it, left a thoughtful pause, And vanished into silent space. Now I don’t chase, I don’t disturb, The seed was mine; I let it grow. But gardens ache when rains don’t come, And hearts ache when they don’t know.
